A therapy session involves the therapist placing their hands on the patient, which allows them to sense what is called the craniosacral system. Gently working with the spine and also the skull, the restrictions of nerve passages are eased and the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord is optimized. Craniosacral therapy is used for for stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ syndrome, and other related chronic pain or intermittent conditions. It is also appropriate for infants who experience colic or birth trauma.
